Founded in September 2017 by Yazid, we offer small group surf coaching, yoga, surf guiding, intermediate surf coaching and homemade moroccan cuisine build around community, culture and the best waves each day.

More than just a Surf Camp in Tamraght

Salt House Morocco is built on authenticity, culture, and community. The surf camp offers home-cooked Moroccan cuisine, surfskate sessions, hammam visits, coastal discovery surf trips, and mountain hikes, music nights, all designed to create meaningful stays.

We host up to 24 guests, providing a social yet personalized atmosphere. Our team includes 4 experienced surf instructors, including Yazid, ensuring tailored coaching for every level. Surf sessions follow the tides and swell to maximize the best waves daily.

Why Salt House Morocco is Different from Typical Surf Camps ?

Salt House Morocco is Locally owned surf camp in Tamraght, founded in 2017 by Yazid, a surfer from Agadir.
We run small group surf coaching sessions in Tamraght and match groups by levels to ensure safe, personal and effective progression.
All surf sessions are led by ISA trained moroccan surf instructors who focus on technique, ocean awareness and confidence in the water.
All meals are cooked in house using local ingredients and tradionnal moroccan recipes and shared daily around one table.
Salt House Morocco offers a social but relaxed atmosphere where solo travelers and friends quickly feel part of a community

Where is Salt House Morocco located?

Salt House Morocco is located in the Taghazout Bay area, about 40 minutes from Agadir International Airport, and only 2 – 4 hours from most central European cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin etc.

What is the local currency, and how can I get it?

Morocco’s currency is the Dirham. Exchange rates were approximately 12.5 DH = £1, 11 DH = €1, and 9.6 DH = $1. Dirhams are only available within Morocco, with ATMs and exchange offices at the airport and in Agadir and Tamraght. Visa cards are recommended; Maestro can be unreliable

Do I need a visa to visit Morocco?

Visitors from many countries including Schengen states, the U.K., U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan, Turkey, and others—do not need a pre-arrival visa

What is the surf and weather like? When is the best time to visit?

Surfing conditions are excellent year-round along the Moroccan coast, with the best surf in autumn and winter. Summer temperatures average around 27 °C (sometimes above 36 °C), with warm water suitable for a thin wetsuit or even just boardshorts. Winter brings cooler air (around 20 °C) and colder water, so a wetsuit is recommended unless you’re especially tough
